Dave the Dev is transported to a strange (for him) world full of what we in this world consider monsters – vampires, werewolves, goblins, gnomes and other creatures of fantasy. In this strange new world, Dave teaches some of these monsters – Wendy the Werewolf, Zane the Zombie, Gina and Gino the Gnomes, and Vincent the Vampire – how to develop applications for iOS 7 using Xcode.
Monster iOS: A New Beginning is written with the absolute beginner, someone with zero experience in programming, in mind. You don’t need to understand basic concepts or terminology to understand Monster iOS: A New Beginning – you’ll be taught them. You don’t need to understand the basic principles behind coding – you’ll be taught that, too. In fact, you’ll be taught everything you need to know to develop a basic iOS 7 app from scratch.
Note: The book covers iOS 7 and the code is in Objective-C. So it might be considered outdated in today’s Swift world 🙂 But the principles covered in the book are still valid and all of the code should still work with the latest Xcode version.
