They say “Don’t judge a book by its cover” but how do you judge a cover when you have two of them? πŸ˜›

My science fiction novel “Honest, the Martian Ate Your Dog” has gone through several covers already. The very first one was a cover that I created from scratch β€” I set up the cover image in a rendering program, created the image, set the title, and did everything by myself. And it showed. It was terrible πŸ˜›

That was also 20 years ago. So, when I decided to re-release the book, I wanted a better cover. I went for a stock image this time since I knew my limitations and didn’t want to try re-creating the cover image. To me, it looked much better.

But the response from others has been a bit lukewarm, to say the least πŸ˜› I’ve been told that the cover is bad and needs to change β€” fast!

So I’ve come up with a third cover. I really can’t decide between the two as to which one is better. So, I’m going to leave the decision up to total strangers and ask the Internet at large as to which cover is better.

Please let me know what you think in the comments πŸ™‚
